About
The Graham County Public Library opened in 1938, located in a small building that was once home to a Pressing Club. In 1958, the library moved into a building made possible by a generous donation from the Bemis Hardwood Lumber Company, as well as funds raised by the Junior and Senior Woman’s Club. This building was named Bemis Memorial Library in memory of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Bemis and their son, Lawrence Bemis. The building still exists today in downtown Robbinsville. The current Graham County Public Library building was built in 1985 with strong local support, and funded by county and grant funding.
Today, the Graham County Library is home to a vast selection of books, tech services, a donation-based bookstore, and community events that Robbinsville and neighboring towns can enjoy.
