Library Assistant
Moss Memorial Library | 2 open full-time positions
Looking for a job where every day is a little different? We're hiring a Library Assistant to help keep things running smoothly at the library! You'll help patrons find what they need—whether that's answering questions at the circulation desk, checking out books, or tracking down materials from other libraries. You'll also get to be part of fun programs like story times, book displays, and community events, plus pitch in with collection development, shelving, and general library upkeep. Comfortable with computers and enjoy helping people? You'll fit right in. Bonus points if you've worked in a library before, but we're happy to train the right person.
What you'll need: A high school diploma (or equivalent) plus some technical training. College coursework and library experience are a plus, but not required.
Both positions are full-time including benefits: (Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, Vacation, Sick Leave, Holidays)
Salary Range: $26,415 - $30,656 | 36 hours per week

The State of Franklin Health Council provides assistance with the Senior Community Service Employment Program to the residents of Swain, Macon, Clay, Jackson, Cherokee, Haywood, Graham, Buncombe, Madison, Transylvania and Henderson counties - as well as the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians(EBCI).
The requirements for State of Franklin positions are:
• 55 or older
• Income eligible
• Seeking employment
