Bookmobile Librarian

The Bookmobile Librarian will manage and coordinate outreach and resource sharing services. This individual will represent the library out in the community, manage part time staff, drive the Bookmobile, facilitate the delivery of library materials and services to schools, homebound patrons, and other community members. They will also coordinate the resource sharing department; shipping and receiving items with other libraries in the NC Cardinal consortium.

We are consistently looking for highly skilled and available library substitutes to help fill in when a staff member is out of work. If you are flexible and would like to fill in where needed, you can apply here. Please indicate what days/locations are preferable for you when you apply. State of Franklin Program Employee

Ongoing Temporary Employee

The State of Franklin Health Council provides assistance with the  Senior Community Service Employment Program to the residents of Swain, Macon, Clay, Jackson, Cherokee, Haywood, Graham, Buncombe, Madison, Transylvania and Henderson counties - as well as the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians(EBCI).

The requirements for State of Franklin positions are:
    • 55 or older
    • Income eligible
    • Seeking employment

​

These positions are typically 20 hours per week and minimum wage ($7.25/hr).  They are also temporary with a 4 year cap. To be considered at our libraries please fill out a substitute application and call one of our libraries to see if you qualify for the position.
